Lots of people with a Learning Disability would like to improve their health by eating better and being more active.

Many depend on carers and support workers who also struggle to look after their health by eating well and exercising.

The Learning Disability Partnership Board carried out a short poll on Health and the food we eat which can be seen here: https://tinyurl.com/Foodweeat22

As a result we have decided to see if there is interest in creating a special course with the help of local health and fitness organisations to help. 

The idea is that people with a Learning Disability and their Support Workers/ Carers can discover and learn ways to improve their health, lose weight if needed, exercise more and in addition other ways like improving sleep or mental health together with expert support. 

We hope that your experience will help not just you but others in the future as health and fitness organisations learn the best ways to adapt their services to your needs.
