The AGCAS Research Student and Research Staff Task Group
- a dedicated group for members supporting early career researchers - is undertaking a survey to understand how AGCAS members provide careers support for PhDs and research staff. Not only is there new interest in this area given the implementation of the new Concordat, but outside organisations, including funders, are beginning to approach the Task Group to ask for information of this type.
In this research, we define researchers
as PhD students and research staff. Research staff
are early-career researchers and include the following job roles:
- Research assistants (pre-docs)
- Research Fellows
- Teaching Fellows
Any data collected through this survey will be treated in the strictest of confidence and stored securely by AGCAS. Research outputs will be anonymised so that individual institutions will not be identifiable. Participation in the project is voluntary and you may choose to withdraw at any point.
The survey contains 10 questions and will take around 20 minutes
to complete. You can leave the survey at any time and your responses will be saved within the system for you to return to later (you may need to check your junk folder to retrieve the link to return to the survey). The survey will close at 23:59 on 28 February 2020
. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com. if you have any queries about the survey or how AGCAS intends to use the findings.
Thank you in advance for supporting this vital research.
