A new plan for educating children who need an alternative to regular school - What do you think?

We are Bristol City Council. We work for people who live in Bristol.

We are writing a new plan called the Alternative Learning Provision Strategy.

Alternative Learning Provision means other ways of educating children who can’t go to mainstream school all the time.

A strategy is a plan of things that need to be done, to make something happen.

There are different reasons that some children need Alternative Learning Provision.

Some children can’t go to regular school all the time because:
  • they are too poorly
  • they have been asked to leave school because of their behaviour
  • they need extra help and support.
What do you think?

Before we write the final plan, we want to know what you think.

Please tell us what you think by answering the questions that start on the next page.
