1. Introduction - Data Security and Protection Toolkit Survey

This survey is to help the ongoing development and support of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT). This survey is being undertaken on behalf of Digital Social Care and Better Security, Better Care which is a free national and local support programme to help adult social care providers to store and share information safely. It covers paper and digital records and focuses on helping care providers to complete the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.

This survey has two aims:
  • The first part asks about your experience of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit to help support further develop the toolkit for social care providers.
  • The second part of the survey asks your experience of support available to help you in completing the DSPT, if you have accessed any. This is survey is part of the evaluation of the Better Security, Better Care programme which is being undertaken by Cordis Bright.

We encourage you to answer as many of the questions as you can. There are some questions that you must answer, as these help us to tailor the survey to your particular circumstances, but most parts of the survey are optional, so please answer what you can. The closing date for the survey is Friday 13th January 2023.

The survey is confidential and we do not ask for your name or the name of the organisation you are completing the survey for. Any data used from the survey will be aggregated to ensure that is it not possible to identify individual providers.

If you have any questions about the survey, or if you would be interested in taking part in an individual interview of a focus groups looking at particular elements of the DSPT or Better Security, Better Care then please contact Julian Beach at Cordis Bright.
