1. Barriers to Diagnosis
The purpose of this survey is to gain insight into the patient pathway for those diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancers (NCs), including presenting symptoms, experience with referrals and investigations and interactions with primary and secondary care professionals. The findings will be used as a foundation for a disease awareness programme for World Neuroendocrine Cancer Day UK.
Throughout this survey, neuroendocrine tumours (NETs), neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) and carcinoid tumours are collectively referred to as ‘neuroendocrine cancer’. If you would like to complete this on behalf of a patient, please ensure the answers to each question are their own, rather than your interpretation of them.
Any information you provide us with will be treated as confidential and all data is anonymised. You have the right to refuse to answer questions or withdraw at any time.
There are 32 questions and we estimate that this survey will take 12-15 minutes to complete.
Your participation is highly valued, and we thank you for taking the time to look at this.
3. Have you been diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer (NET, NEC, NEN or sometimes called ‘carcinoid’), or do you care for someone who has?
Please note: If you are the carer, please ask the patient for their answers to each question.
