Access: click here for transport and venue access details

Timing: 8 x 2-hour sessions on Thursdays 6 - 8pm from 5 February to 26 March 2026.

Black Kings includes:

  • Eight relaxed 2-hour sessions in a friendly, confidential space
  • A chance to explore vital topics such as Black masculinity, decolonisation, and misinformation

  • One-to-one conversations with facilitators where mutually agreed / needed

The course is for Black men, aged 18+, who are:

  • Currently finding life challenging
  • Black or of mixed / multiple heritage with Black descent
  • Able to travel to Gloucester for sessions (please talk to us if you need support with transport)
  • Comfortable in a group setting
  • Able to follow simple instructions or demonstrations
  • Committed to attending as many of the sessions as possible (albeit we welcome people at any point during the 8 weeks!)

  • Are you currently experiencing any symptoms of psychosis, such as delusional thoughts?
  • Are you currently feeling suicidal?
  • Are you currently struggling with addiction?
