Context
Updating this policy statement is one of the commitments we've made as part of our RASSO 2025 strategy. Our previous statement was last updated in 2012.
This policy statement sets out how we approach our responsibilities in rape and serious sexual assault cases. It provides detailed information about our how we work and provides relevant links to further information in our legal guidance.
We expect that this statement will be of most interest to those who work within the criminal justice system – for example support services who work with victims of rape and serious sexual assault, but it may also be of interest to victims, supporters and the wider public.
