Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) Consultation 2022

1. Consultation about dog control in Charnwood

0%
There is a PSPO in Charnwood about dog control which runs from January 2020 to January 2023.  The Order lasts for up to 3 years.

In order to extend and/or vary the Order after January 2023, Charnwood Borough Council are inviting residents and interested parties to consult on the following proposals.

This consultation is the first stage of the consultation process and will form the Notice (proposal) which will then also be formally consulted upon.

Stonebow Washlands and Dishley Pool Consultation

The 2020 PSPO was varied in May 2022 for this area but in order to merge the variation for the two sites, you are also invited to put forward further comments on the main consultation. There are two further questions following at the end, please feel free to answer these (they are not mandatory). There is also a map for Stonebow Washlands for details on zones and the relevant restriction which currently stands.

This consultation is open until 5pm on Friday August 19, 2022. Comments after this point will not be considered.

For further details about the current PSPO and dog control visit www.charnwood.gov.uk/dogcontrol. A copy of the PSPO can be read at www.charnwood.gov.uk/pspo_variation.

Please indicate next to the question what extent you agree with the following proposals.

1. To insist on people picking up dog faeces when in charge of a dog (this will be borough wide excluding private and agricultural land). *

2. Not allowing dogs within fenced children’s play areas (fenced on all sides with a sign at the entrance “dog exclusion zone or similar”). *
