We are the West Yorkshire Children and Young People's Mental Health Provider Collaborative, and are a partnership of:

  • Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
  • Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust
  • South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
  • Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust

We want to know what people working in the VCSE sector think about the support for children and young people (0-25 years old) who are described as 'complex'.

We want to know who you think 'complex' children and young people are. A 'complex' child or young person might be described as someone who:

  • Find it difficult to keep appointments, or tell people they want help.
  • Might not be receiving any education.
  • Might need help from more than one service.
  • Might have experienced abuse, neglect or other trauma.
  • Might be involved with the criminal justice system.
  • Might be vulnerable to criminal exploitation.
  • Be in care, or be a young adult who has left care.
  • Have additional needs.

Please do not be limited by the list above. We want to know who you think 'complex' children and young people are.

We would also like to know more about the services you provide, that you think would benefit a child or young person, who is described as 'complex'. For example:

  • Managing feelings and behaviours
  • General wellbeing
  • Mental Health and Crisis Support
  • Tackling isolation
  • Confidence, self-esteem
  • Developing and managing relationships/friendships
  • Aspirations/employment/education
  • Finance/Personal Budgets
  • Housing

The information you tell us, will be used to make services better, by sharing what is working well and what needs to be better. The information you give us will be kept anonymous, this means we will not use any information that will let other people know who you are. Publicly available information about your service will be shared with services across West Yorkshire to improve signposting to VCSE support.
