The Housing & Homelessness Strategy for Warwick and Stratford-Upon-Avon will set out both council’s vision and priorities for housing across South Warwickshire.
The Strategy is not just about who will need homes in the future and building new homes. It will also look at the homes and neighbourhoods people live in, and the support they might need to find, keep, or move to a suitable home. It will also look at the different types of homes and landlords we need.
We have identified five main areas that we think the strategy should focus on:
- Deliver a diverse supply of housing to meet local needs
- Prevention of homelessness and reduction in rough sleeping
- Homes are safe and meet the decent homes standard
- Homes are warm and energy efficient
- Provide exemplary housing and landlord services
