Introduction
You are invited to take part in a research survey which aims to identify and explore lived experiences of everyday sexism experienced by medical registrars. It has been compiled by a group of medical registrars (Dr C Kelly, Dr C King, Dr Z Kantor, Dr F Baldeweg). The objective is to gather more information to help identify and raise awareness of the issue.
All data collected will be anonymous. Participation is voluntary, if you agree to participate you will answer 15 short questions about your experiences, mostly multiple choice. If you change your mind and do not wish to participate you can leave the survey at any time before submitting your answers. You must be working as a Medical Registrar or have previously worked as a Medical Registrar within the last 5 years (either in training or non-training posts, including locum work).
Participating in this survey may not benefit you directly but may add to the growing body of evidence surrounding sexism in the workplace and ultimately may contribute to further work required to achieve gender equality within the NHS. Answers to Question 1 regarding gender, age, specialty and workplace will be used for demographic purposes only, to assess for a representative mix of responses. All questions about work indicate work whilst in the NHS but may include experiences within the NHS prior to becoming a medical registrar. Please leave blank any questions that you do not wish to answer.
If you have any questions or comments about this study please contact via email - charlotte.kelly9@nhs.net / claire.king14@nhs.net / zoe.kantor@nhs.net
By completing this survey you are consenting to take part.
