What is the purpose of the project? 
The aim of this research is to hear multiple real-life experiences of trans, non-binary and intersex people accessing healthcare services in York. Your feedback will help Healthwatch York and partners, including healthcare professionals, develop a plan of how to improve health services. 
 
What can I expect? 
All information for this survey will be collected online. After reading this information page, you will be presented with a consent form, asking you to give permission to take part in the study. You will then be asked some demographic and introductory questions followed by specific sections of health services you have accessed. It is estimated that it will take 10-15 minutes to complete this survey. 
 
Why have I been asked to take part? 
You have been selected to take part as you identify as trans/non-binary/intersex and you live in York. 
 
Is taking part voluntary? 
Taking part is voluntary. Should you wish to stop taking part at any point during the study, you can save and continue the survey by clicking he button at the bottom or close your browser to completely withdraw. 
  
What information will be collected? 
Your gender, age, location, ethnicity, sexual orientation will be collected, followed by your responses to the sections in this survey. All data will be anonymised. 
 
Who will have access to the information? 
All information collected about you and your participation will be kept private and confidential. If information about you is published it will be in a form such that you cannot be recognised. All electronic files containing data will be kept on a secure area. Your participation in the study is voluntary and you are free to choose whether or not to complete the study. 
 
Where will the information be stored? 
All electronic data will be stored on the Healthwatch York Smart Survey account.
 
How long will the information be retained? 
All anonymised data will be retained for the duration of the project and for publication purposes.
