Ministry of Justice’s GREAT Legal Services Delegation to Copenhagen
Dates: 4-9 October 2026 (exact dates to be confirmed)
UK headquartered legal firms and chambers and UK based legal professionals are invited to apply to join the UK Government GREAT Legal Services delegation to Copenhagen, taking place alongside the International Bar Association (IBA) Annual Conference this October.
Delegates will take part in a programme of activities aimed at promoting UK legal services and growing UK business globally. It will provide opportunities to make new connections at high-calibre roundtable discussions and exclusive networking events, building on our successful programmes alongside previous IBA conferences.
The IBA Annual Conference will see more than 5,000 attendees from over 130 jurisdictions, and over 2,700 law firms, corporations, governments, and regulators who are looking to meet, share knowledge, build contacts and grow their business. There are opportunities to hear from leading international figures, government officials, general counsels and experts from across all practice areas. The GREAT Legal Services delegation represents an easy and efficient way to amplify your firm’s attendance at this year’s event. Our programme will be structured to allow you to attend and reap the benefits of the conference.
Our events will bring you together with leading practitioners from across the globe, as well as local legal and business professionals.
Our programme will explore the latest developments in the legal sector, covering topics such as financial services and insurance, energy and green transition, digital transformation and AI, shipping and infrastructure (for example), and areas of law such as cross-border dispute resolution, arbitration and corporate law. There will be opportunity for you to shape the programme, and we will use information provided in applications to help us plan.
This programme will be delivered by the Ministry of Justice GREAT Legal Services team in collaboration with The Department for Business and Trade, The Law Society of England & Wales and The Bar Council, as well as other expert partners. Our partners will provide guidance and support to delegates, including on how to get the most out of the IBA for those new to the conference.

We welcome applications from SMEs, regional firms and those who may not have previously attended the IBA Annual Conference, as well as more established firms and chambers keen to grow their business.
