GSS User Engagement Strategy (Northern Ireland)

1. The Government Statistical Service User Engagement Strategy – Questionnaire

The Government Statistical Service (GSS) is a cross-government network led by the National Statistician. The GSS supports statisticians in England, Scotland and Wales and works in partnership with the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) to provide advice, analysis and a statistical evidence base to help people make better decisions.

Across Government, departments publish a large number of publications and datasets on a wide range of topics including health, education and welfare to help serve society’s needs. We, as government statisticians, want to ensure the statistics we produce answer the right questions and meet user needs. To help do this, the GSS is developing a new UK strategy to improve user engagement.

We’d like to hear from you about your experiences as a user of statistics and data. Please take 10 minutes to complete this short survey.

The survey closing date has now been extended until 31 August 2020. If you have any questions or would like to get in contact with the project team, please email

Survey responses will be stored securely as outlined in the Office for National Statistics (ONS) Privacy Policy and the NISRA Privacy Policy. Information you provide will only be used to inform future user engagement initiatives, and will only be published in aggregate/anonymised form. Any personal information provided will not be shared more widely.
