Healthwatch Norfolk | Preparing for later life in Norfolk

1. Preparing for later life in Norfolk

0%

This survey is aimed at people aged 55 and over living in Norfolk, who are not receiving regular help from social care. That means you don’t have carers visit you at home to look after you on an ongoing basis, or live in a care home. Occasional help with transportation or attending a day centre, for example, doesn't count as regular support.

We’d like to hear what you’re doing to prepare for getting older, and what help you would like to prepare better.

Who is Healthwatch Norfolk?

Healthwatch Norfolk is the independent voice for patients, service users and Carers in the county. We gather your views of health and social care services to ensure they are heard by the people in charge.

What is this survey about?

Healthwatch Norfolk is working with Norfolk County Council (NCC) to find out how people are getting ready for later life, and what support they might need to stay independent for as long as possible. We want to hear from people in Norfolk about what planning they’re already doing and how the Council could help them.

The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete. Some questions are optional.

If you would prefer to do this survey with us over the phone, please call Healthwatch Norfolk on 01953 856029 and we will arrange a time to ring you back to complete the survey. How the survey results will be used

Survey responses are being collected and analysed by Healthwatch Norfolk. You can read our privacy policy at: www.healthwatchnorfolk.co.uk/about-us/privacy-statement.

All responses will be anonymous, and will only be seen by the staff of Healthwatch Norfolk. The survey results will be used to make recommendations to NCC on how they might support people to prepare for older age, as part of a project report. The data gathered will be deleted at the end of the project. The report will be publicly available on our website and may be used in other Healthwatch Norfolk communications.

Survey closing date: 16 July 2025
