Glow Your Own is six workshops that will take you from technology trepidation to building a computer circuit to power your own moving digital lantern;

Run by IF Oxford, a charity (UK Charity Number 1151361) has a small grant to support the inclusion of families on low incomes who might find the cost of the Glow Your Own equipment prohibitive.
With this in mind, the
Glow Your Own workshops are free to join (with donations welcome) and Arduino LED packs will are available by post, see:

Most of the components that are needed (with a few extra items that we won’t be using) are contained in a standard Arduino activity pack containing:
- Arduino Board
- Servo Motor
- Photo Resistor / Light Dependent Resistor
- Light Emitting Diodes
- Jumper (connector) Wires
- 100 Ω ohm 1K Ω ohm resistors

If you purchase the kit yourself, IF Oxford will post out extra materials needed to fully join in the workshops and complete the coding and craft project. If you need the Festival to purchase the kit for you, you will receive the remaining items before they are needed for the project.
