The council is consulting on the proposal to add a public space protection order to Galley Hill, Bexhill. This order would give designated officers the powers to issue a penalty notice to anyone launching or landing a flying vehicle within 50 metres of Galley Hill.
It is already against the byelaws to launch or land a flying vehicle - namely an aircraft, helicopter, hang-glider or hot air balloon.
The fixed penalty notice will be for £100.
Galley Hill means the uphill section of the recreation ground and public open space that runs from Sutton Place alongside De La Warr Parade and to the eastern side of the hill beyond the play area to the end of the green space.
Those given the powers to issue warnings and a penalty notice will be designated employees from Rother District Council and Sussex Police.
