People’s experiences of using mental health services and substance misuse services
Who are we?

Healthwatch Gloucestershire is the county’s independent health and social care champion.  It exists to ensure that people are at the heart of care.

Dedicated teams of staff and volunteers listen to what people like about local health and care services, and what could be improved.  These views are then shared with the decision-making organisations, so together a real difference can be made.

What is this survey about?

The survey aims to understand the experiences of people who use both mental health services and substance misuse support services. To look at what has worked well when accessing both services, and what difficulties people face.

Who can take part?

We would like to talk to those over 18 years old who have experiences of both Mental Health and Substance Misuse issues.

What will we do with this information?

The answers you give in this survey will be anonymous, and any identifiable information will be removed. The information gathered in this survey will be used to produce a report that will be made available on our website and will be shared with the commissioners and providers of the services. It will be shared with a team at Gloucestershire County Council Public Health who are running a project on this topic. It will also be shared with Healthwatch England and presented at other boards as appropriate.

The survey could take up to 15 minutes to complete but may be much quicker than this. There are a number of options to tell us more about your experience so times may vary depending on the depth of answers that you provide.

This survey closes on Monday 30 September 2019
