Medical Student Ambassadors (MSA) are a team of individuals who deliver voluntary services to the Medical and Dental Education Team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH).
Opportunities within the MSA role at GOSH include:
- Supporting development of resources for medical students
- Network with paediatric specialists
- Bespoke coaching on topics including leadership, management skills and much more
- Opportunities to complete projects in collaboration with GOSH
- Widen participation amongst schools, colleges, and universities in your region and beyond
- Opportunities to be involved in organising our Annual GOSH Conference, MRCPCH Exams, GOSH Summer School and any other events as agreed by PGME Undergraduate Lead.
- Advertise events organised by PGME GOSH via social media channels and other communication channels in line with our Social Media Policy
- Promote Paediatrics
Sessions and projects are accommodated virtually. We encourage students from across the world to apply. Please be aware that we expect at least 80% attendance to teaching sessions and regular engagement with projects.
The Medical Student Ambassador year runs from January 2027 - December 2027. You must be a medical student for the duration of this period. We therefore regret that we are unable to accept applications from medical students in their final year and who will qualify as a doctor throughout this period.
Important information:
- GOSH reserves the right to cap applications at 40 submissions and close recruitment before the advertised deadline if this limit is reached or if operationally necessary.
- GOSH reserves the right to withdraw a Medical Student Ambassador's appointment and remove them from the programme if they breach the ambassador agreement, Trust policies, or expected standards of conduct.
