Future self-funders survey - online version

1. Introduction

0%

This survey is for people in Surrey who do not yet live in a care home but who are considering paying to live in a care home in the future. It can also be completed by the family or friends of people who are considering this.

Surrey County Council is conducting a communications awareness campaign to ensure people who are thinking about their future care needs have the right information. To support this initiative Surrey County Council would like to know what people currently consider when they are planning future care and where they might go for information. This will help them provide the right information, at the right time, and in the right places!

In order to ensure this communications campaign reaches people and has the information that people need, Surrey County Council has approached us to find out the experiences of people who are currently self funding their care, or who are considering doing so in the future.

As Healthwatch Surrey, we champion the voice of local people, ensuring your experiences of health and social care are heard by service providers and decision makers. We know that services are best improved by listening to those who use them and by highlighting this independent feedback we are able to inform, improve and when necessary challenge, decisions about current and future plans about health and social care services.
