Welcome to this survey. If you live in, are employed in, or own a business in Hemsby, we would really like to hear from you. The survey includes questions about living or working in Hemsby; what issues are important to you; and what you know and think about how climate change might affect Hemsby, particularly in relation to coastal erosion and flooding. This is a joint survey between Coastal Partnership East and Hemsby Neighbourhood Planning Group, on behalf of Hemsby Parish Council, and the information you give us will help with two projects:
If you would like to find out more about either project, please email:
Neighbourhood Planning Project – George Waterman (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Coastal Erosion and Climate Change Project – Karen Saunders (email@example.com)
- The Coastal Erosion and Climate Change Project is looking at how to involve communities in planning for the future impacts of coastal erosion and / or increased flooding as a result of a changing climate on the place where they live or work.
- The Hemsby Neighbourhood Planning Project will use some of the responses to this survey to help develop Hemsby’s Neighbourhood Plan. This is a key planning document produced by residents to influence the future type and location of growth in Hemsby. The Neighbourhood Plan will ultimately sit alongside Great Yarmouth Borough Council’s adopted Local Plan, so its policies will be used, amongst others, to determine planning applications.
