Nominations for Pride of DPT are now open.

Submissions can be made for our staff and assigned staff, people who use our services, their families, carers and supporters, volunteers and partner organisations.

Nominations will run until noon on Friday 24 April. Please ensure all entries are submitted by this date.

Nominations can be made in one of the following categories:

- Clinical Team of the Year
- Non-Clinical Team of the Year
- Learner of the Year
- Inspirational Colleague Award (clinical)
- Inspirational Colleague Award (non-clinical)
- Together Award
- Partnership Award
- Improvement Award
- Sustainability Award

Please read each category and criteria carefully and provide as much information as possible. Unfortunately, those entries with insufficient evidence to meet the criteria cannot be put forward for judging and shortlisting.

The awards ceremony will be taking place on Wednesday 8 July at Westpoint, Exeter. Further details will be shared on DAISY and in the staff bulletin in due course.

Clinical Team of the Year
This award recognises the commitment and dedication of an outstanding team that has gone above and beyond the call of duty and can demonstrate how working together effectively and efficiently has led to benefits for patients, staff and the organisation. This team will be made up of supportive colleagues who live and breathe our values and who make a real difference to the lives of others including colleagues and service users. Through their innovative work they enable the smooth running of our organisation and deliver results that exceed expectations, leading to improvement in procedures, practices, productivity, or service levels.
Non-clinical Team of the Year
This award recognises the commitment and dedication of an outstanding team that has gone above and beyond the call of duty and can demonstrate how working together effectively and efficiently has led to benefits for patients, staff and the organisation. This team will be made up of supportive colleagues who live and breathe our values and who make a real difference to the lives of others including colleagues and service users. Through their innovative work they enable the smooth running of our organisation and deliver results that exceed expectations, leading to improvement in procedures, practices, productivity, or service levels.
Learner of the Year
This award recognises students and apprentices of all ages who have shown a commitment to their learning whilst continuing to provide the highest quality care and services. Their commitment to continuing personal and professional development has been undertaken in order to benefit our organisation and to support the delivery of outstanding care or support to their colleagues or patients. This person will be an inspiration to those around them.
Inspirational Colleague Award (clinical)
This award recognises an individual who has made an exceptional contribution to our organisation, often not fully realising the value they bring. This person is a constant support to those around them and is someone who inspires and encourages colleagues on a daily basis even at times of extreme pressure. They show exemplary dedication and commitment to their role while enhancing the lives of colleagues and ensuring care is delivered to a very high standard to the people we support. They will be a fantastic role model for our values and can influence and engage those around them.
Inspirational Colleague Award (non-clinical)
This award recognises an individual who has made an exceptional contribution to our organisation, often not fully realising the value they bring. This person is a constant support to those around them and is someone who inspires and encourages colleagues on a daily basis even at times of extreme pressure. They show exemplary dedication and commitment to their role while enhancing the lives of colleagues and ensuring care is delivered to a very high standard to the people we support. They will be a fantastic role model for our values and can influence and engage those around them.
Together Award
This award is for people who actively champion meaningful involvement and inclusion of people using our services, including carers and families. They are prepared to break down barriers, challenging colleagues and partners to see things in a new way.
Partnership Award
This award recognises individuals or teams who demonstrate outstanding collaboration between DPT and colleagues from partner organisations, bringing our Trust Strategy to life through strong, purposeful working beyond organisational boundaries. This award celebrates those who actively build relationships, break down silos and work together to improve care, experience and outcomes for the people and communities we serve.
Improvement Award
This award recognises individuals or teams who show outstanding dedication to continuous improvement and strengthening the impact of our services. It recognises those who turn ideas into meaningful, measurable change for the people we support, their families and carers and our colleagues across DPT.
Improvement is everyone’s responsibility and this award celebrates those who take initiative, test ideas, learn openly and help create a culture where better is always possible.
Sustainability Award
This award recognises individuals or teams who demonstrate exceptional commitment to environmental sustainability and help bring our Trust Strategy to life by contributing to a greener, more resilient future for DPT and the wider NHS. Sustainability is a shared responsibility and this award celebrates those who actively reduce our environmental impact, champion sustainable thinking and inspire positive change across our organisation.
