Have your say about IVF and fertility services

NHS Kent and Medway is reviewing IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) and ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) services to make sure support is fair, effective and meets future needs.

We are looking at IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) and ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) which are special medical treatments that help people have a baby. We want to make sure everyone gets a fair chance, that these treatments work well, and that NHS money is spent wisely for everyone.

We want to make sure we can keep offering fertility services for people in the future.  We are asking for your views on possible changes to the amount of treatment offered and when it's offered.

If any changes are made, they will be based on research and what works best in other areas of the country.

Right now, most people who use IVF/ICSI have one cycle, and IVF/ICSI works best for younger patients.

Those with exceptional clinical need could still apply for funding via an (IFR) Individual Funding Request.

We are seeking feedback from:

  • People who have used fertility services in Kent and Medway
  • People who may use them in the future
  • Anyone living in Kent and Medway who wants to share their views.

Your answers will help us understand how any changes could affect people and shape future plans.

The survey will close on Monday 26th January 2026.
