Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Children and Young People's Mental Health: call for evidence

About this survey

Please read this important information first.

There will be a new children and young people's mental health strategy for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough from April 2022. This will be a plan which tells us how services and projects will help children and young people aged 0 to 25 who have mental health problems. The strategy will be owned and shared by the Children and Young People‚Äôs Mental Health and Wellbeing Board as part of the wider mental health system.

taproot  is a company that has been hired to help engage people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough with the writing of the strategy. This survey is being run by taproot and any personal information you share will be held by taproot and not shared more widely, except in anonymised form. The exception to this is if taproot  have a concern that someone is at severe risk, in which case they will take steps to get help to that person, including by telling emergency health or care services.

There are 3 stages to writing the strategy:
1. taproot will gather evidence about and from children and young people with mental health problems in the area, and what is currently being done to help them. This will be from now until December
2. taproot will lead discussions about what is missing in the support for children and young people with mental health problems, so as to generate ideas and proposals. This will be from January to February.
3. taproot will work with organisations and individuals in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to finalise a list of priorities and consider what can be delivered. This will be in February and March.

This survey is part of the first stage. It is a call for evidence about children and young people's mental health in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. It is for anyone to complete who has information to share- children and young people with mental health problems, their families, people who work to support them and leaders of organisations.

Because there will be people with many different roles completing this survey, please just fill out the pages that are relevant to you and skip pages that don't apply. You can fill in as much or as little as you like, though the first page is required.

You can fill in this survey anonymously, or you can leave a name and contact details on the final page, where you can also book in to on-line meetings with taproot where you can share your evidence in person.

The survey will close on Monday the 13th of December 2021. We would appreciate you sending the survey link on to anyone you know who you think may also have useful evidence to share.

The survey can take up to 45 minutes to complete, depending on how many pages you write on.
