Being part of the Leadership Academy comes with the responsibility of:
Being committed to the programme and having regular contact with your Active Schools Coordinator
Volunteering within schools or community for 1-2 hours per week and 1-2 days at Holiday Programmes
Being a role model to young people within your school and community
Helping to promote sport and activities within your school and community
Showing enthusiasm and willingness to learn
Undertaking national governing body certificates/awards and inhouse training that are offered
Completing Saltire Awards and Youth Achievement Awards to gain recognition for your efforts
Your Active Schools Coordinator will support and guide you through your Leadership Academy journey. They will maintain regular communication in order to ensure every you have the best experience possible, gaining essential leadership skills.
Please note: Potential volunteers are required to provide details of two referees and join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme as part of the recruitment process. (at no cost to the volunteer).
