Introduction

 

Thank you for your interest in our research. This survey allows you to sign up for our upcoming focus groups aimed at individuals who consume tobacco and work in one of the following jobs: 

  • Factory work: assembly line tasks, machine operations
  • Service roles: waiters/waitresses, bar staff, cleaners, security guards, postal workers, drivers
  • Trades: construction workers, plumbers, electricians
  • Care work: care assistants
  • Labourers: individuals involved in manual labour

This survey includes questions to help us understand your perspective better and determine if you are our target audience.

Participants selected for the focus groups will receive a £25 shopping voucher for their participation. This is your opportunity to sign up and contribute to future Stop Smoking campaigns and services in Lincolnshire. If you are selected for the focus groups, a member of the Social Change Behavioural Insights team will contact you to schedule the session. 

This survey will take around 5-10 minutes to complete and is being conducted by Social Change, an independent social research and marketing agency, on behalf of Lincolnshire County Council (LCC).

All your answers will be stored securely and kept confidential. This means we will not identify you at any point in the storing, processing and reporting of the data. The information you provide will be shared with LCC and One You Lincolnshire, as they will be delivering the focus groups.

Rules of Engagement 

Thank you for completing this pre-qualification form. Before we ask for more information from you, we would like to outline some Rules of Engagement we have in our research sessions. These include: 

- Turning on your video camera during online focus groups, and keeping it on for the entire session 
- Active participation: giving more than single word responses, engaging with the research topic, and participating in discussions (e.g., providing feedback and contributing ideas)  
 
If these rules of engagement are not followed, we will not be able to continue your participation in the research and you will not be entitled to any research incentives.
