Missing Black children survey (young people)

0%

This survey is for 16-25 year olds who identify as being from a Black ethnic background. This includes mixed-heritage children who have one parent from a Black African and, or Caribbean ethnic background.

We have recently published research which showed there may be some differences in the experiences of Black children who are reported missing, when compared to children from other ethnic backgrounds.

We are now trying to understand more about those experiences.

This survey should take about 15 minutes to complete. Your answers will help us to understand why Black children are more likely than others to go missing; whether there are any differences in the response to Black missing children as compared to others; and whether there are any harms that Black children are more likely to be exposed to when missing. We are really grateful for your time in helping us to answer these questions.

We understand that Black people’s experiences are not homogenous and there is huge diversity within Black communities. Due to the limitations of this research we aren’t able to explore this fully, however if you are able to share any insight into the impact of differences within Black communities on your experiences of missing please share that throughout the survey.

In this survey we are going to ask about why you or others have gone missing; what happened while you or your friends were missing; and what happened when you returned. Please keep yourself safe and if you are upset by any of the questions please remember you can exit the survey at any time. This survey is completely anonymous - we will not know who you are or where you are when you complete the survey.
