LiveWire Leisure would like to ask staff, members and users of leisure hubs for their views on the availability of healthier food and drink options in our vending machines. We would be grateful if you could share your views in this short survey.
The Food Standards Agency recommend basic nutrition principles for healthier vending. This includes that:
- Water is widely available (40% of whole machine)
- Sugar-free drinks or drinks containing less than 5g per 100g of sugar are widely available (50% of whole machine)
- Food and drink items which are high in fat, sugar and salt are limited. Crisps, chocolate, cereal bars and confectionery maximum 250 calories per product
- Appropriate product placement (eyeline ranges) within vending machines to support the selection of healthier options.
