Partner organisations:
The data collected via this survey is being collected and analysed by employees of NHS-supported Creative Health organisations Art Shape and Artlift and NHS Gloucestershire's Cheltenham Peripheral Primary Care Network.
Why are you receiving this questionnaire?
Recent statistics highlight and the above-mentioned partners recognise challenges faced by many men in our society. We are keen to understand what local men may want or need to improve their sense of wellbeing that could be provided by 'Creative Health' organisations.
What do we mean by 'Creative Health'?
Creative Health is a term used to describe activities that have benefits for our health and wellbeing. Activities can include visual and performing arts, crafts, film, literature, cooking and creative activities in nature, such as gardening.
Creative health can be applied in homes, communities, cultural institutions and heritage sites, and healthcare settings. It can contribute to the prevention of ill-health, promotion of healthy behaviours, management of long-term conditions, and treatment and recovery across the life course.
Art Shape and Artlift provide programmes for people living with health challenges in Gloucestershire (usually free courses for one to two blocks of 8 - 10 sessions in community / cultural centres or online).
How can I help?
Please answer the following 8 questions, which should take no more than 20 minutes - half an hour. Please answer as fully and honestly as you can. Your answers will help us to better understand how to engage and benefit men through therapeutic creative activities.
Your answers will be used anonymously. However, if you would like to hear more about Creative Health services, you will have the option at the end to give your name and e-mail address.
What if I have questions or am unable to complete the survey online?
If you have any questions, or would like to support this research in a different way (rather than an online survey), please contact Kim (kim@artshape.co.uk) or Sharon (office@artlift.org)
