Swindon's Health and Wellbeing Board has a statutory obligation to undertake a Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) every three years. The document is used by NHS England to support the legal decision making for the provision of pharmacy services across the county.

Swindon’s Health and Wellbeing Board has approved the draft PNA for consultation. The document is now available for review and comment in line with the National Health Service (Pharmaceutical Services and Local Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2013 for 60 days.

We are seeking views and comments on the draft report and have designed a short survey to capture responses to help write the final PNA. The deadline for responses is the 10 June 2022.

A final version of the document will be taken to the Health and Wellbeing board in September 2022 and comes into effect from 1 October 2022
