This survey is intended to capture insights from Norfolk & Waveney's Integrated Care System to inform the development of a Health Inequalities Strategic Framework for Action. This survey will be open from Monday 13th November 2023 until Friday 12th January 2024. Completion of the whole survey will take around 15-20 minutes, but you do not need to provide feedback on every section, as some will be more relevant to you than others.
You can provide feedback as an individual or behalf of a group/meeting/workshop.
Health inequalities are unfair and avoidable differences in health across the population, and between different groups within society. Health inequalities arise because of the conditions in which we are born, grow, live, work and age. These conditions influence our opportunities for good health, and how we think, feel and act, and this shapes our mental health, physical health and wellbeing.
We want to take further action to improve the lives of those that experience the greatest inequalities, including:
- Those living in our most deprived communities
- Those with protected characteristics - age, disability, gender, pregnancy & maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation
- Inclusion health & vulnerable groups - Gypsy, Roma, Travellers & Boater communities, people experiencing homelessness, offenders/former offenders, asylum seekers and sex workers
- Those living in areas of coastal and/or rural deprivation
A programme of ‘Health Inequalities Conversations’ will be initiated over the coming months with our system partners to inform the development of the framework.
Our engagement will focus on 4 key themes:
- Living and Working Conditions
- Lifestyle Factors
- Health & Care Services
- Creating the conditions for success
Your feedback will remain anonymous and be reviewed by Norfolk & Waveney Integrated Care Board and Norfolk County Council's Public Health team and your insights used to developed our Strategic Framework for Action.
