Consultation on support for part-time study and disabled students

Thanks for your interest in the consultation - you can use this form to let us know you would like to take part.

What is the research about?
Scottish Government wants to hear from students about their experiences and views about the support available to them. We have asked Craigforth (independent researchers) to speak to disabled students and those studying part-time or by distance learning – and also prospective students and those who completed their studies within the last 12 months.

Feedback will be considered as part of the consultation on student support, which will be independently analysed. A report will be published in early 2026.

What's involved?
Research interviews usually take around 45 minutes.  You can speak to a researcher by video, audio or in-person at a time that suits you.  We can arrange extra support to help you take part if needed.  Everyone taking part gets a £20 gift card.

Your feedback will be completely confidential. Scottish Government will not know who has taken part, and nothing about your participation or views will be shared with your college or university.  Taking part will have no impact on your course or the student support available to you now or in the future.

This information sheet tells you more about how the information you provide will be used and handled.
