Applying for a place
By submitting an application form you confirm that you wish to attend one of our courses/events. This confirms that you will carry out any associated pre-course work. If you don’t submit an application form, you won’t be able to take part, as we won’t have the information we need to run the course/event.
If you have any accessibility or dietary requirements, please mention these in your application. We will treat this as sensitive information (GDPR Article 9). If you would like us to change or delete this information, please contact us at academiwales@gov.wales
We will ask you to complete an equality monitoring form so we can improve future courses/events.
We take photos at courses/events, record leadership events and activities to create learning resources, and publicise courses/events using social media. If you would prefer not to appear in marketing materials, please indicate this in your application form or inform the course/event team. Your answer will not affect your ability to take part in the course/event. If you change your mind at any time, please contact us at academiwales@gov.wales.
Confirming your place
If there is a place available and you are eligible to take part in the course/event, we will send you a confirmation email. We will then send joining instructions and any pre-course work materials closer to the course/event. If you aren’t eligible to take part or if there’s no space on the course/event we will confirm this to you.
Cancelling your place
Once you have accepted an offer of a place on a course/event, should you be unable to attend or commit for any reason, please inform us as soon as possible so we can offer your place to someone else.
If you cancel your place after course/event diagnostics have been set up, then you or your organisation may be charged in full for your place. If you cancel your place with less than 10 working days’ notice, we may charge your organisation.
