It is expected that an allocation of funding enables the enhancement of provision over and above that which is expected within the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Guidance, the SEND Code of Practice and what is provided through reasonable financial adjustments as required through the Equalities Act.  If funding is awarded it should be used for the purposes identified in the initial request or previous review.

Funding will be initially allocated for two terms (unless the child leaves the setting, starts school, or funding is no longer required due to child’s progress). We are requesting that if the funding is to be continued for a longer period, the review of impact needs to be completed and submitted every two-term period, in order to support budget planning and allocating funding where there is the greatest need.

We are requesting that the impact form is submitted at half term before the deadlines of:

A review should be completed by the provider in good time and at the latest as follows:

October 31 for funding to continue in spring term

February 28 for funding to continue in summer term

May 31 for funding to continue in autumn term

The review should be completed and retained by the setting. The review must be shared with parents and their comments added.
