Reigate & Banstead Borough Council provides a wide range of services and activities that benefit those who live and work in the borough. The Council is currently reviewing its budget for the year ahead.

This consultation is to collect views on the Council’s draft 2024/25 budget proposals. In summary this proposes:
  • Service revenue budget growth proposals totalling £0.943 million, income and savings of £1.719 million and additional fees and charges of £0.540 million
  • Central revenue budget proposals delivering an overall saving of £0.376 million, plus £1.75 million of growth for the 2024/25 staff pay award; and
  • Increasing the Reigate & Banstead Borough Council share of Council Tax by 2.99%
In addition, we anticipate having to draw on our earmarked financial reserves to mitigate areas of financial risk to the Council (such as housing benefit pressures) potentially up to the value of £0.964 million.

More information about the proposals is available on our website at our open consultations page, or on request from 01737 276000.
