Borough of Redditch Local Plan Scoping Consultation

Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2026

The Government has introduced a new plan-making system. The new Borough of Redditch Local Plan will be produced under this new system.

The aim of the new system is to create a faster, more streamlined, and more digitised plan-making system. Further information is available here

This Scoping Consultation represents the first stage in preparing the new Local Plan under the new system. At this stage, we are seeking your views on:

  • the content and scope of the Local Plan; and
  • how you would like to be consulted and engaged as the plan progresses.

Please note that this consultation does not identify development sites or draft planning policies.

Scoping Document Overview

The scoping document is structured into eight sections:

Sections 1, 2 and 8 are for information only and do not contain questions.
Sections 3 to 7 includes nine questions, which are focused on the two purposes of the scoping consultation (content of the Local Plan and how you want to be consulted as we progress the Local Plan through future consultations to adoption).

Each section provides a summary and a link to the relevant part of the full document.

The full scoping document is available here.

You are welcome to answer as many or as few questions as you wish.
