Customer Feedback Survey - Allocations Policy 2023

Allocations Policy

We want to hear the views of our Applicants and Tenants on our Allocations Policy Review

The Allocations Policy was comprehensively reviewed in 2019 to reflect the changes introduced by the Housing (Scotland) Act 2014.  A commitment was given by SBHA to review the Policy after 3 years therefore it is up for review again and we are seeking the views of applicants.

While there have been no significant legislative changes that will affect the existing policy, we are considering an additional priority awarded for those experiencing domestic abuse.  This reflects best practice in the social housing sector and aligns to the Borders wide Unified Domestic Abuse Policy

1. Our proposal is to create a new category awarding the highest priority to those experiencing domestic abuse.

Do you think we should support those experiencing domestic abuse by awarding a priority for re-housing: *
