Suffolk County Council Local Government Review Survey

0%

The Government wants to see all six councils in Suffolk replaced with a simpler, smarter and better model.

This will mean getting rid of the current two-tier arrangement with a county council at one level and district and borough councils at another and replacing them all with a new ‘unitary’ council or councils – which deliver all services in their area.

This is called local government reorganisation.

This is a major decision for the Government to make, and Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) gives us the opportunity to create effective and high-quality public services for the people of Suffolk.

We strongly believe that the shape of local government should focus on the needs and ambitions of local people. Those needs should shape the local government structure, not the other way around.

Your feedback is crucial in shaping local government to better reflect the needs and priorities of our communities.

We will use your feedback to help develop our vision for local government in Suffolk and work on more detail over the summer before giving a final proposal to the Government in the autumn.

This is your chance to influence our proposals at an early stage and your opinions matter to us.

Thank you for taking the time to read and respond.

The survey should take around 10 minutes to complete. All your answers will be confidential and will be reported anonymously. For more information on how we use your data, please see a link to our privacy policy at the end of this questionnaire.
