Nearly 40 years since their unveiling in April 1983, both Redditch Borough Council (RBC) and Arts in Redditch, are keen to hear what you think about one of the largest commissions of public art in the 20th century.

The mosaics were produced by the artist Eduardo Paolozzi who was awarded a commission to celebrate the history of Redditch, namely its rich needle industry. They also emphasise the progression of the town into the future, featuring many images of an electronic and mechanical nature, as well as an aeroplane, an astronaut, and even a section of the Millennium Falcon!

Ahead of a possible commemoration of the mosaics in April 2023, we want to hear what you, as residents, think about the works. This survey consists of a total of eight questions about the mosaics, and will provide you with the opportunity to comment on them as features of the town, and how you think they should be celebrated. The questions should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete. Your answers will be anonymous and will also be used to help shape future activities around the mosaics, while also being an exciting opportunity to inform an academic study of public art.

The survey will close at 23.59 on Sunday 9 October 2022

Thank you in advance for your taking your time to complete this survey.
