Course Overview: The newly revised 6-day Foundation Programme in Sexual Health Promotion (FPSHP) is a comprehensive capacity-building training programme for service providers who want to develop their competence, skills, and knowledge in the area of sexual health promotion. The key objective of this course is to enhance participants’ capacity to incorporate sexual health promotion into their work through the development of their comfort levels, confidence, knowledge, and skills in relation to sexual health.

Course Dates (6 days):
Tuesday 9th & Wednesday 10th April 2024
Wednesday 1st & Thursday 2nd May 2024
Wednesday 22nd & Thursday 23th May 2024
Closing date for applications: Tuesday the 6th of February 2024
Commitment: Participants are required to attend all six days. Participants are expected to keep a learning journal throughout the program and to present an action plan on the final day as to how they will incorporate or integrate their learning on the course into their work practices.
Time: 09.00 to 16.00 on the first day and 09.30 to 16.30 on all other days.
Certification: This course is certified by HSE Health and Wellbeing and accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
Application process:
1. Complete the Smart Survey Application form below by Tuesday the 6th of February 2024.
2. Successful applicants will be called for a telephone interview on February 19th or 22nd of February 2024
3. Applicants who attended an interview will receive an email detailing the outcome of their application within 5 working days.
Spaces are very limited and we are expecting a high demand for this course. A waiting list will be created for future training in 2024/25.
