Ubuntu Pledge has been invited by Westway Trust to design and deliver a brief mapping and assessment exercise, focusing on issues concerning digital readiness across Westway Trust member organisations and those in the wider area.
The research is designed to enhance our understanding of digital readiness in the area, factors that might impede progress toward digital transformation, and forms of support that might be useful for local organisations.
What is this survey for?
This survey aims to generate feedback concerning the above issues, from organisations in the area. (In designing the survey, we have tried to make it consistent with content in the recent Charity Digital Skills Report 2024 (Amar and Ramsay, 2024), so that we can draw comparisons with national figures.) We offer some definitions of key terms at the start of the main questionnaire.
Who should complete this survey?
We would like each organisation that has received a survey link to complete a survey questionnaire if they can. The questionnaire can be completed either by an individual chosen by the organisation to do so, or by a small group from that organisation which can respond to the questions together.
What will happen to your survey feedback?
Your feedback will be analysed and fed anonymously into our final report. Analysis will be both quantitative (using SPSS) and qualitative (using NVIVO). All responses are anonymous, and no individuals can be identified in any findings. If you would like to see more details concerning the research or our approach to data protection and data-handling, please see the Ubuntu Pledge data protection policy.
When should this survey be completed?
This survey should be completed as soon as possible - and definitely by 20th June 2025. It will take about 15 minutes of your time to complete the survey.
The survey can be completed on a PC, smart phone or tablet. If you can’t complete it all at once you can save it and return to it later (the facility for allowing this is at the bottom of each page of the questionnaire).
Why should I complete the survey?
Feedback from organisations in the area will help us not only to understand some of the issues referred to above, but also to design potential programs of support to be discussed with potential funders and others. Your feedback will feed directly into current planning and decision-making about future practice.
Those who complete the survey are also able to enter a prize draw at the end of the questionnaire if they wish. The winner will be picked at random, and the prize is a £100 store voucher of the winner’s choice. Only those who complete the survey can be entered into the prize draw.
Who can I contact if I have any questions about the survey?
If you have any questions about the survey, please contact us by email at research@arcs-ltd.com, by phone on 01223 967455 (that is our 24 hour survey support message line), or use the contact details provided on our PROJECT SUMMARY.
