Political party members and data rights

1. Purpose of survey and privacy policy

With this survey, Open Rights Group (ORG) is conducting research to investigate whether people who are members of UK political parties are interested in how political parties use personal data. This will inform the future strategy of the Data and Democracy project.

Our recent investigation has shown that UK political parties have been using personal data in ways that are often unethical and potentially unlawful. How political parties use personal data is determined by party officials, such as compliance, membership and fundraising officers. To change these policies we need to lobby these officials with the help of party members.

This survey is intended to be anonymous. However if you wish to stay in contact with us about this campaign, you may choose to leave an email address.

This survey uses informed consent as its legal basis for processing. ORG's privacy policy, which contains information about how we process personal data, can be found here. Please take a moment to read this before taking the survey.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, by emailing pascal@openrightsgroup.org.

Please complete the survey by May 13th 2020.
