Merthyr Housing is committed to providing a high standard of housing accommodation by reaching and maintaining the Welsh Housing Quality Standard through practical and cost-effective approach.
There will be occasions when some properties cannot meet all the standards due to their type or the cost involved. There may also be times when Merthyr Housing is unable to fully meet tenants’ wishes and expectations.
The Association has carried out stock conditioned surveys to identify which homes meet the standards and what work or investment is needed for those that do not.
Some elements of the standards relate to safety and must be achieved by April 2030.
