The Department for Transport (DfT) is looking to gather your views on the relevance of our cross-modal statistic outputs, in response to an increased interest in more timely indicators of transport activity. Our main cross-modal statistics are: Transport Statistics Great Britain and the daily transport use during the coronavirus pandemic statistics.

Transport Statistics Great Britain is a snapshot at the time of publication. Published annually, the report uses the latest data available, where some of the data included has a lag of at least 1 year.

The transport usage statistics is a daily summary, published weekly by the department as a data table with no accompanying report. Figures provided are a high-level indication of transport usage, relative to the 1 March 2020.
