NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN FOR THE FA GROUNDSMAN OF THE YEAR 2020
Dorset County Football Association are pleased to once again be supporting the FA Groundsman Of The Year Awards for 2020. The awards are open to all clubs operating at Step 7 and below of the football pyramid, and were set up to recognise the contribution of those unsung heroes of the grassroots game and encourage the development of groundsmanship.
(Step 1 – 6 Clubs are nominated by their respective Leagues, while Step 7 & below Clubs are nominated by their County FA)
Following the nomination deadline shortlisted clubs will be visited by the judging panel who will use a set of marking criteria which takes into account the club’s resources, equipment, budget, pitch usage, and the individual challenges faced by each groundsman. The first ranked Dorset club groundsman at Step 7 and below will go forward to the national judging stage and undergo independent adjudication.
