What is York & North Yorkshire's Strategy for a Sustainable Future? Our regional strategy for leading the way in tackling climate change, striving to create a truly sustainable future for York and North Yorkshire. Whilst led by the Combined Authority, it has been co-designed and co-developed by regional partners. It identifies opportunities to deliver a step-change in climate action that transforms the economy and supports healthy, thriving communities, ensuring York and North Yorkshire leads the way to become England’s first carbon negative region by 2040.
