Food waste / food poverty questionnaire

Bwyd Da Môn is an initiative seeks to address two key issues of "food waste" and "food poverty".

This is a multi-agency project between the Council, the Health Board, 3rd sector organisations, CAB and other organisations.

Bwyd Da Môn will be open for anyone in the community to join, and there are no eligibility criteria. Anyone can benefit from the high quality, low cost food that will be provided. It has been agreed from an early stage that the project did not want to create a "stigma" for people using the store. It will not be a means-tested programme, but open to all regardless of their income, circumstances or location.

The project will need the financial stability of regular payments from individuals who can help to subsidise those in need.

In practical terms, people pay £5 a week, and will receive around £20-25 worth of food which consists of a range of frozen/ fresh meat, dried and canned food, plus fresh fruit and vegetables, along with other items.

We need your feedback as to whether you would consider opting into this project as a member please. Becoming a member would mean paying £5 per week for a return of £20-£25 worth of food each week, which would be supplied from the premises.

Your response will be used as part of our on-going data collection exercise in order for us to gather as much qualitative and quantitative information as possible. With your involvement, together we can shape the Bwyd Da Môn programme.
