Keep the Albert Road Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN)

The Albert Road Low Traffic Neighborhood (LTN) was introduced in September 2020 to promote walking and cycling and to reduce the number of journeys made by car in the area - contributing to a better environment for all. The LTN links key walking and cycling routes in the borough and provides low traffic and safe spaces for all, not just those who live there.

The LTN is funded from Transport for London (TfL) funds and must be repaid if this is scrapped; Kingston Council may also lose future funding. TfL promotes these schemes and has re-phased the traffic lights on Hawks Rd to improve traffic flow on adjacent roads.

We welcome your views on this scheme. Councillors will decide whether to make it permanent or not in December and your views will be carefully considered.
