Introduction
The following survey is organised into three short sections...
1) The survey will begin by asking you about your general early years childcare arrangements and and your preferences for future childcare options.
2) The second section of the survey focuses on the Early Years Funded Entitlements.
The City of London wants to ask parents and carers of 0 - 4 year olds about their use of the entitlements for pre-school aged children, including the recently introduced (in April 2024 and September) extensions - and the additional extension scheduled for September 2025
3) The third section of the survey focuses on Wraparound Childcare.
The City of London would like to hear from parents and carers of children aged 3 - 11 years about their current - and intended future - use of wraparound childcare. This is because the DfE has already begun to increase wraparound provision nationwide. It is intended that by September 2026 all carers/parents who have primary aged children can have access to term time wraparound care between 8am – 6pm.
The survey should take 10 minutes to complete - and your feedback would be of significant value to the City of London.
We would be grateful if you could complete the survey by Friday 20th June.
If you would like any further information about either: (a) the local authorities’ responsibility to ensure there is sufficient childcare or; (b) the legitimacy of this survey, please contact: Isabelle Britten-Denniee at the City of London’s Department of Community and Children’s Services by email at:
