Drawing, painting, creative writing, photography, arts and crafts, poetry… if you are a creative person and would like to showcase your work, why not enter the Charnwood Creative Competition for 2026?
The competition is open to all ages and entries are open from Monday, 2 March until Tuesday, 30 June 2026.
There is no set theme for the competition - we want you to be as creative as possible. Show us your talent!
Full terms and conditions can be found at www.charnwood.gov.uk/comp, but here is a summary:
- Entrants must be a council tenant or leaseholder
- You can apply for as many categories as you like
- Creative writing entries must be under 500 words
- Content must be appropriate – no swearing and no offensive or sexual content.
There will be one winner, one runner-up and one third place in each category, with £75 in high street vouchers for the winner, £50 for the runner-up, and £25 for third place.
Winners and runners up will be featured in the council tenant and leaseholder magazine Your Homes Matter. You may also be featured in publicity including press releases, social media and email newsletters.
Your work will also be displayed at a special presentation at Loughborough Town Hall on Thursday, 10 September 2026.
